Before I buy the game I wanted to ask just to be sure.

If I have a trial account and I buy GW: Nightfall and Eye of the North, will my account automatically be activated or how does it work? I'm thinking buying it in in-game store.

Also if I have only Nightfall and Eye of the North can I still unlock 30 points in HoM?|||I don't know, because I never bought a chapter in the ingame store and never had a trial account.

When I buy extra character slots or something in the ingame store, their product keys are automatically added to my account though.

Heroes... here it's good that you have Nightfall and EotN, instead of Factions or Prophecies + EotN. You can get the full 8 points here in a weekend of determined farming.



Minis... no problem there. You can buy them. Expensive though.

Armor... same. Well, you won't get the point for Luxon or Kurzick. But you can get 7 points here.

Weapons... no problem here.



13ish + 8 + 7 = 28 points without the minis or the weapons.

Add a weapon or two, add some minis, and you have your 30 points.

So: yes, you can get 30 HoM points.

It would be easier and cheaper if you had all of the GW expansions though.|||Thanks. It's good to know that I can get enough points for Nightfall+EotN.

So where should I buy it then? It was on sale on steam before, too bad it isn't anymore =/ If I buy it there then I just make an account when I install the game, right?|||I bought EotN in-game, and the unlock happened automatically.

Just a comment on the above post...

Minis you'd pretty much have to buy anyway, so getting other campaigns won't help much. More char slots is fine, but late at this point. Black moa is the only one you can "easily" get via gameplay, and it requires all games.

Destroyer weapons (EotN) are the cheapest way to fill your HoM, unless you do the WiK storyline which is found in Prophecies and gives you rewards you can trade for free weapons.

30 will be easy enough without the other 2 games, if that's your goal. My advice is to work on the titles, and as you gain money get some armors first. Keep the minis for last. Master of the North is difficult to get though, just be aware. But towards the end you'll have enough choice of how to get the last points to decide what to do and not do.|||Buying through in game store unlocks whatever automatically. You will be emailed a key, which you want to print or archive for later reference if needed.

Buying through steam is pretty much the same, but keys are managed via steam account.

As far as where to buy from...gotta say the cheapest reliable vendor.|||I have to second "cheapest reliable vendor". AFAIK the ingame store still charges full price; You can pick up all three chapters and EotN from most game shops for around the same as what the ingame store charges for one chapter.|||For future reference you can always contact support and ask them.
