Rules of thumb for PUGs

After dealing with various PUGs, (pick up groups), I thought it might be a good idea to compile a list of rules of thumbs regarding various aspects of said groups.

One of my biggest rules, if you join a group, and the other, or some person doesn't talk when you need to find out something, you kick or leave.

Basicly, if they refuse to communicate, boot to the head.

Anyone got some others? Post as they come to you, I'm in no hurry.|||When someone joins and they that their friend is on their way and can you hold a place for them - give them a set amount of time (1-3 mins) before booting them/leaving.

*I think if we do 1 at a time this could be a fun thread!

-Art|||Scribbling on compass, group leader's right unless otherwise determined... nuff said|||Expect failure, and occasionally you will be pleasantly surprised.|||Don't be a leaver. Wait for the wipe.

Oh, and be ready to give directions.|||Whoever is the first name in the party menu is the leader. Cooperate with him/her.|||Remember that it's a team game.|||Be ready to take build advice, and accept criticism. Be ready to get kicked a lot if for some reason you're unwilling to ping.|||Just don't do it...bad idea...heroes and henchies love you more than PUGS.

All kidding aside...yes...make sure ONE person is the leader...follow him/her even into death.|||I've seen enough leaderless PUGs to say that you can't assume the first person to have leadership skills. If you see decisions aren't being made, targets aren't called, builds aren't coordinated... do it.

The team will thank you for it.
