Build help?

Hey im a newbie and gonna play as a derv cusethey look cool plus i lik gonna solo and with NF you get heros.

So can i hav some P/A, P/W or P/Mo builds for PvE (solo) and PvP (GvG and solo)

Also which second profession shuld i go for cuse i cant decide and why? P/A, P/W or P/Mo|||Do you play a dervish or a paragon?

Dervish = D

P = paragon

Easy to mix them up, since both wear skirts. ;)|||Not quite sure if you mean D or P... However, here are some pointers for paragons (for dervish you have responses in your other thread)

Warrior: The #1 choice for paragon secondaries. Some useful skills offered through warrior secondary would be different ways to boost your adrenaline gain as well as shouts that offer different effects.

Ranger: The reason that martial classes pick ranger secondary would be for the ability to poison enemies. Apply Poison and Poison Tip Signet would be the skills. You can also get pets, but you probably will have energy issues if you bring beast master bars.

Elementalist: The conjure skills can fit for every martial profession, and paragon is no exception.

Mo and Rt: You probably won't be using monk and ritualist secondaries much, as you already have a powerful reusable rez. You can opt to get the ritualist skill "Vocal was Sologon," but tbh, I would rather be bringing some other paragon skills... You might see usage for these secondaries in farming builds, but you most likely won't be farming until you get to change your secondary freely anyway.

Me: Mesmers are more useful for casters. Since you are paragon, most of their skills will be useless. The only things that can be useful would be elemental mantle stances, but that would come in handy at only certain situations.

N: Can't think of a skill under N that would be useful for general PvE outings.

A and D: As someone that has ranged attack and 80 armor, you won't be in heavy need of either mobility or defensive enchantments. There might be other usage for these secondaries though: can anyone fill me in about that?

I forgot to mention this in the other thread (and I don't recall if anyone did), but an Elonian/Tyrian character won't be able to choose /A or /Rt when you first pick your secondary out. You will have to wait until you are able to freely change your secondary profession.

I don't really have good PvE bars to share, but for organized PvP it's probably the best to use whatever build the team will give you rather than coming up with your own.
