Gold Farming

Alright so im new to guild wars. Im trying to make some money. And I have a little bit of it. But at this point i would like to start gold farming. What Monsters and where could i gold farm. I have prophecies. And My current city is Borlis Pass.

Level 11 Necro / Ele|||I wouldn't even think about gold farming until you hit level 20 AND have the bonus 30 attribute points...you don't really need to buy anything other than kits until that point.

If you must though, just find things you can kill easily.|||At your position, you make money by not spending it. Don't upgrade your armor each time, but maybe upgrade every 2nd time instead. Don't buy too many skills, you can only carry 8. And so on.

Pick up everything, and sell it.

I've personally given up on farming, I find it much more enjoyable playing normally, and getting whatever income I get from that.

ps: if you are adamant about this, you should tell us what profession you have... still, level to 20 and get all your attribute points first.|||It would be best to just save up you money don't waste it and use collector items. You don't need to buy any skills since you have Prophecies do all skill quests and avoid runs.it is best if you play the through storyline since this is your first char. You will only need to buy 3 sets of armour from Ascalon,Amnoon Oasis or Sunctum Cay and Droknar's Forge.

You will be 20 in no time so don't rush it and that is where you start working on your char.Try and have fun which it is at your lvl.|||If you have just first campaign, you can almost say bye bye to farming since for farming mostly you require atleast 2 campaings, or expansions.

By finishing Proph, you should have enough cash to buy anything you need/want.

Remember, most people pay a lot of money cause of skin of weapon, not because of weapon, because you can change most of it. Later with other campaings and expansion you will realise what Im talking about.

Some of things I suggest you to do to save your money is:

Buy salvage kits, and salvage everything you can.

After some time, you will know what usually salvage into wood (I suggest to stop salvaging it, rather sell items, or try to sell stack of woods [250 is stack] to someone for around 1k). When you get stack of Iron, you can sell it for around 5000, which is not bad price a tall. Dust goes for around 4.5k bla bla..anyway, just salvage everything, and hold it in material section in Xunlai chest :)

Other then that, do all quests that give you some gold etc. :)|||The value of drops goes up as you progress through the game. Farming level 10 dwarves for gold is not going to be as profitable as simply getting to Kryta, where you will start seeing gold-rarity weapons drop, much larger cash drops than you've been getting, more common and rare materials, etc. Farming Kryta for gold is not going to be as profitable as simply getting to the Crystal Desert, where the rewards are even greater. It really is too soon to start thinking about farming when you haven't even reached the maximum-income areas of Prophecies.|||Most farming is done in hard mode anyway, which requires you to finish the campaign you plan to farm in on at least one character. If you're gonna farm, might as well get the higher-value drops from hard mode.|||Check out this thread for more hints on how to manage money without farming:

Most of the tips in the OP and sprinkled throughout the thread still hold true today.

-T|||Just mho here...the best advice I have personally seen is to pick up everything and sell it. I rarely farm anymore and make over 100k a week just doing this. Another bit of advice...when you reach lvl 20+ mobs...ID everything before selling...avgs about 10-15% more gold for you.|||Don't worry about gold so much right now just go out and have fun.
