Ascension Missions

Alright, this might be a stupid question, but...

How the heck do you start Ascension missions? The people in Augury rock aren't very talkative and Google is no longer my friend.|||how about wiki?

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Ascension

for Tyrian, be sure you have completed the 3 desert missions, or you cannot ascend...Canthan and Elona pretty much guide you into it.|||Yea, I've checked the wiki, and it doesn't say anything either. I'm talking about like Dunes of Despair, Elona's Reach--THAT kind of Ascension quest =p|||Um...you start those the normal Tyrian way...click start mission button once you travel there...|||Make sure to speak with the Ghostly Hero in Amnoon Oasis and take the quest there. If I remember correctly, that quest should lead you through the rest of the process.|||I started with Factions, so my Proph. knowledge isn't as deep, but as I understand it, outside of the Sand of Souls quest Adwin mentioned, there's no real direction for the path to ascension in Prophecies.

Basically, the game will lead you to Augury Rock and then it tells you to go look around.

There are 6 other outposts in the desert besides Amnoon and Augury rock, 3 of them are mission towns.

To ascend, you need to get to and do the 3 missions (Thirsty River, Elona Reach and Dunes of Despair). Once you complete them all (just mission, bonus is not necessary) Augury Rock becomes a mission town which, unlike every other mission in Prophecies, is activated by talking to Great Ritual Priest Zahmut instead of hitting a mission button in the party window.

He will port you into the mission, you need to run through the glowing light so you are imbued with a mystical force that will allow you to activate 3 stones on the ground by walking over them. Once you walk over the 3rd stone, one of the coolest cut scenes in the game takes place and then you are in the area where you fight your Doppleganger.

Succeed and you will have ascended and also will be ported to the Dragon's Lair outpost which is also the mission that will take you to the Ring of Fire islands for the final 3 missions of the game.** You can also reach Tomb of the Primeval Kings from Dragon's Lair.

**As BrettM corrected me below, this takes you to Drok's, not the Ring of Fire islands. Doh! Thanks for correcting my error.|||Quote:

Almost. Dragon's Lair sends you to the Southern Shiverpeaks, where you can get max armor (including Prophecies elite sets) and do three more missions. The third mission in the S. Shivers sends you to the Ring of Fire Islands for the final three.|||Quote:

You can also port in before doing all the missions. There are three Ghostlies in there and each can point you in the general direction of each mission. It should help in finding them.|||AHHH I see. Thank you so much guys ^_^|||Quote:

Easier to just look up the map on the wiki.
