Log in problem with a Guild Wars account

Hello,

i bought my guild wars with 3 of the 4 campaigns about 2 years ago.. played for a while, and left.. now when i tried to play again they say that my account is wrong, but when i try to log in the ncsoft homepage, everything seems to be ok, and my account is active there..

Can anyone explain me, why is that i can log in the ncsoft page, but cant log in the game?

Maybe its because my acc ends with @plaync?

Thanks, Tom|||There has been a change to the login screen that perhaps you overlooked. In addition to the password, you must also enter the name of one of the characters on the account. This seems to trip up many players who have been away for a while, so perhaps that is the cause of your difficulty?

Edit: I can assure you that the "@plaync" is not a problem. Such account names continue to work, even though newer accounts now use "@ncsoft".|||it could be the problem, cuz honestly, i have no idea about the character names..

But even if i failed on the character name, the error said that the account information is wrong, so i automatically assumed it was about the acc/pw thing..

Is there any way to find out your character names?

Thanks|||Quote:

either ask friends if they remember, or contact support - if you have your Cd-keys...|||Maybe you have an old screenshot folder?|||I have deleted the whole GW map, so theres no screenies.. my friends do not remember the nicknames.. i got the cd-keys tho, in my wallet.. i guess i should try the support but i m not sure if its worth it, cuz before i came here i tried to e-mail them.. well its like 4th day around and i still got no answer..

Thanks|||I don't know what you mean by "tried to email them" but the way to contact support is to open a ticket at the NCsoft Support site.

http://us.ncsoft.com/en/support/|||well i used the web support.. with no results so far..|||Quote:

The likelihood of getting a response sooner than a day or two can be pretty slim, I'm afraid. Some days, support will have a clear queue and you'll get a rapid response, other days they're likely up to their necks in tickets when you hit the Submit button.

Best thing to do is wait a little longer, sadly.
