Recently purchased a copy of Guild Wars as a Christmas present for my cousin... He installed on computer and started the tuturial, writing down all info to log in again. The next time he tried to log in, it did not recognize his log in and stated that his access key was incorrect and he has not been able to log back in... He has called the telephone number listed, he has emailed daily, but has not had any success in getting in touch with the "powers that be"... any one have any suggestions as to how I can get him signed on to the game....
Thanks in advance!|||Where did you buy it? Was it a sealed box copy, or was it opened? Wait, that wouldn't matter... nvm. Keep trying to contact support and be nice.|||Purchased from Newegg.com, sealed box, brand new combo pack....|||Sounds like something that needs to be resolved through support. Good luck.|||Stop e-mailing every day. It won't get through support any faster, and it'll actually bog down the process.|||New game from Newegg.com|||If he used the correct 'access key' then all he would need to log in after that was his email, his password and the name of one of his characters.
There are 2 faults here that I can see from the information provided. He is either trying to log in with his full (and now used) access key which is needless because it won't work, he only needs his email, password and a characters name as stated or...
He signed up using the 2 week trial card that comes with Guild Wars (which you usually give to a friend). In which case his account would be invalid...about....wait for it...now! (If he opened and installed his gift before Christmas day).
I hope this was of some use to you!
