Need to get the black moa egg petrfied

I am trying to get into the Kurzick area and I seem to be hitting a brick wall. I have the ingredients for the black moa chick and need to get it hardened.

I belong to a Luxon guild to complicate matters.

Anyone have any ideas how I can get this blasted egg hardened? At least in the Jade sea you can go around through the back door.

Is there a back door to the Kurzick area?|||There is a backdoor if you have already befriended the kurzicks.

Unwaking waters (explorable) --> unwaking waters (kurzick)|||Quote:

back door? First I ever heard of it. Mind, telling me where to find and how to access this suppose back door?

As far as the egg goes, I think you need to go to a waterfall somewhere in Kurzick territory, however; I wonder if someone else can harden it for you? I heard of players selling harden eggs for like 10K apiece, saves you the trip and trouble.|||Back door to Cavalon, Boreas Seabed - - -> Breaker Hollow---> Cavalon (through explorable areas)

Abrostone--->Altrumm Ruins--/-->House zu Heltzer

No, did not befriend the kurzick

I know where to go for the egg, it is just getting there is the problem.|||Ok talk about a duh moment, forgot about the story line, thought I had progressed far enough. As Homer says, "Dhoh".|||Why does it complicate things that you belong to a Luxon guild? Anyone can still follow both sides of the story, regardless of the alliance of their guild. The guild only determines what kind of faction you can donate, but nothing stops you from earning faction on the other side and spending it on something other than a donation.

There is simply no way to reach the falls without Befriending the Kurzicks. Once you have done that, you can continue following the storyline through the Eternal Grove mission, or you can go through Unwaking Waters (Kurzick) to get to the right area.

People in Kurzick guilds have to do the same thing in reverse to get the incubator, and they don't have any choice since nobody else can obtain one for them. You, at least, have the choice of buying a hardened egg or getting someone else to take yours to the falls.|||Quote:

Or asking someone in game politely if they could spare a moment and boil the egg for them. I wouldn't mind if the request was made in an unobnoxious way.

And yeah. It shouldn't matter what faction your guild is. Nothing is stopping you from doing the quests of the other faction when you want to.|||Quote:

I'm not sure what back door the OP is talking about, but the Kurzick back door has already been mentioned a coupld times in this thread. It works the same way for the luxon side, where you just need access to Harvest Temple and to have finished the Befriending the Luxons quest.

On the Jade Sea side of both Unwaking Water towns there is an NPC that will port you into the city if you have finished the Befriending quest for the side you are trying to enter. From there you can run to the rest of that area's cities. The main benefit of this is to give you this access without having to do both Gyala Hatchery and Eternal Grove.

-------------------

People thinking that being Luxon/Kurzick affects your access to Echovald Forrest/Jade Sea is pretty common. The story line and NPC dialog reinforces this, not to mention the kurzick/luxon faction effect on some of the NPCs (luxon merchants won't work for you if you have more kurz. faction than luxon for example), it's kind of understandable why they would think this.|||Well, its all a moot point now, I just finished the last quest in the forge to get the chick. Cute/ugly little thing. At any rate, remembered and learned a bit. Don't need this thread any more, it can be closed, Thanks!
