Different in quests in prophecies?

[:1]I noticed that the quests in The Flameseeker Prophecies and the primary quest for prophecies are different.

I have completed nightfall, eye of the north, factions and had just started prophecies. I am currently doing the quest from Flame seeker prophecies, am i doing the right thing?|||The MISSIONS listed in the Flameseeker Prophecies book are correct. And the second link is a link to the primary quest line from the very beginning of the game to the end. Every primary quest and mission is in the list. However, only the Missions go in the book. And even then the first few missions are not in the Flameseeker Prophecies book, but are instead in the Young Heroes of Tyria book.

So, they actually are the same.|||so which one should i complete to get the get the requirement points for HoM? Just the Flameseeker Prophecies will do or must i also complete the young heroes of tyria too?|||Completing the missions in the Flameseeker Prophecies will get you the statue for completing the campaign. These are all the missions beyond LA, which is the point at which characters created in other campaigns join the story.

The missions before LA are equivalent to the newbie missions on Shing Jea and Istan, except there are a lot more of them. If you want the statue for Protector of Tyria, you will eventually have to do those missions (with bonus) as well, but you can do them after you finish the campaign.

The Young Heroes book can only be filled in Hard Mode. It contains all the newbie missions in all three campaigns. You only need to do those if you want the Guardian statues for the campaigns.|||If i just wanna get 30 points for HoM, can i skip the young heroes of tyria book? I plan to complete flameseeker prophecies and continue sub-tasks such as acquiring elite armor, wep etc.

Also if a brand new character start in this sequence: prophecies>factions>nightfall>eye of the north, will he have to come back and do flameseeker prophecies too?|||And also, I have already completed other 3 campaigns in normal mode, why is my HoM calculator only show the same 3 points? How do i actually 'trigger' the calculator so that it will count in my campaign completions as points?|||I'm a little unclear on what you're asking, so I'll just explain the process and see if I answer your question.

To complete Prophecies, all you need to do is finish the last mission (although there are a few that are gateway missions that you must also do). You do not need to finish any of the books. In Tyria you can skip a lot of the missions by either running or just fighting through the explorable areas. By completing the last mission, you will "finish" Prophecies, and get the Eternal Hero of Tyria statue in HoM. You get Eternal Hero of Cantha and Eternal Hero of Elona statues for finishing their respective campaigns. There is no status for finishing EotN storyline.

To add the statues to your HoM, visit it and go click on the Monument of Honor. It will give you options to add any accomplishments as statues that you haven't added yet. Note that this will not appear immediately on the HoM Calculator. You have to log out and wait a bit.

Each statue does not directly translate to a point. Look at the left hand column of the HoM calculator to see how the points are rewarded. For example, the first statue gives you 2 points, having 5 statues gives you 3 more points, then 1 additional point if you have 10 statues, and so on.

As to whether you have to finish the books or not, the books do not directly relate to the statues. There are of course overlaps, but here are the statues related to campaign missions (EotN is not a campaign):

  • Finishing the storyline on each continent (Eternal Hero of Tyria/Cantha/Elona statues)

  • In Normal Mode, completing all missions and bonuses in Tyria, and all missions with master's rewards in Cantha/Elona (Eternal Protector of Tyria/Cantha/Elona).

  • In Hard Mode, completing all missions and bonuses in Tyria, and all missions with master's rewards in Cantha/Elona (Eternal Guardian of Tyria/Cantha/Elona). If you finish all 3, you get a bonus statue of Legendary Guardian.

So let's assume you finish all of the above. The HoM Calculator should then give you:

+2 for the first statue

+3 for the first 5 statue

+1 for 10 statues (3 Eternal Heroes, 3 Protectors, 3 Guardians, 1 Legendary Guardian)

For a total of 6 points in HoM Calculator.

Hope this helps.

-T|||Teina has laid it out very nicely. You will have a hard time getting to 30 points without earning the various titles for PvE accomplishments.

Accomplishment titles for PvE include Protector, Guardian, Vanquisher, Cartographer, and Skill Hunter. If you complete those titles for each continent on one character, you get bonus Legendary titles on top of that. For example, if you get the three Vanquisher titles, you also get Legendary Vanquisher. Completing all of the above will give you 19 titles in total, and Legendary Master of the North will bring you up to 20. This will be worth 11 HoM points.

Accomplishment titles also include reputation titles from Factions, Nightfall, and EotN. Some of those can be maxed fairly easily. You can pick up additional non-title statues for completing elite content such as Sorrow's Furnace, Fissure of Woe, and Urgoz's Warren.

Almost half of your 30 points -- probably around 12 -- will come from doing as many as possible of the above, which don't really cost you anything to get.

The rest of your points will come from things that can cost a fair bit of time and/or gold. Elite armor sets, elite weapons, hero armor upgrades, and minis. If you're careful in choosing what you want to add, though, this cost can be minimal if you only want to get to 30/50. Pet statues, for example, only cost you the time needed to capture and level certain prestige pets. The cheapest elite armors can easily be paid for by the gold you will make doing vanquishing and turning in completed story books.|||Thanks for the clarification people. I am still wondering if it is worth the time getting to 30/50. With diablo3 around the corner and as well as my uni, I guess it's time to stop concentration on earning HoM points.

p.s If i only play 1hr during the weekday and maybe 5hrs during the weekend, how long do u think I will take to reach 30/50?|||I figure an hour will give you one long mission (with bonus) or vanquish, or two shorter missions or vanquishes, allowing overhead time for merching loot etc. Not counting EotN, there are 58 missions (x 2 if you do both NM and HM) and 121 areas to vanquish. I would guess maybe 150-200 hours total for Legendary Guardian + Legendary Vanquisher. If you do the cartography while doing missions and vanquishing, then you will also have Legendary Cartographer at the end of that time.

So we're talking a few months here. You should probably be able to get 30 points within six months, even playing casually.
