[:1]Hey,
So I'm really looking forward for Guild Wars 2 and so I decided to buy Guild Wars: Prophecies, Nightfall and Eye of the North to go for the 30 points rewards in the Hall of Monuments.
I'm not into PvP, so I'm looking for an efficient profession combo for soloing PvE.
What do you think of these combos I have in mind?
- Warrior/Monk
- Warrior/Elementalist
- Paragon/Elementalist
Any advice on the matter would be highly appreciated.|||You'll be able to change your secondary profession later on, so your first choice of a second profession is only temporary. Concentrate on your primary profession's skills and attributes.
The game is designed for team play, not solo. You are able to fill a party with NPC teammates, either henchmen or heroes or both.|||Agreed with Mister B.
Generally, keep in mind that your secondary is mainly used for utility. That is, a warrior or paragon doesn't have enough energy to use monk or elementalist spells. Conjures, however, can be used for extra damage. Monks also can use stuff like condition removal to help the warrior stay effective.
Most of the time though, I prefer to keep some synergy. W/P work well, N/Rt or Rt/N are good mixes too. Most of the rest I play mainly primary skills.|||Quote:
Warrior/Monk
Great combo. Specifically, if you want to solo, this is one class which can actually use its secondary-profession skills. However, please please, if you play with people, do not use your monk skills (apart from a rez and possibly a condition removal).

Warrior/Elementalist
Great combo. Can solo some things. In groups, have access to Conjure X (flame/frost/lightning) which can increase damage dealt.

Paragon/Elementalist
Lame. P/W is much better. P/E have access to Conjure Lightning, though. Also, for soloability, paragons are quite weak. They rely on their team for many skills.
Also, as the others have said, don't solo. Play with teams, either with other people or with heroes and/or henchmen.|||/Mo (and /Rt and /P) gets you a reusuable rez which can be pretty important if you start in Prophecies (/Mo only in that case.) There is only 1 henchie in early prophecies that has a resuable rez, and she is usually the first to die.
