Does anyone need help with Hall of Monuments? (Also Guide. . . Maybe. . . )

[:1]Hi. . .

I'm mainly a PvP Player and thought that me getting much out of the Hall of Monuments for the next game was going to be out of reach

This was not true; however, after I did some research. . .

(well ok, it was actually A LOT of research)

But that's why I'm posting; essentially I'm here to offer any late comers assistance or at the very least some sagely advice on how to get things done quickly with very little money and almost no help from other players.

I went from 8 HoM points to 29 in 4 days. . .

If you have the Eye of the North Expansion here's what you need to know:

Honor:

Shoot for at least 11 points here which is done by displaying 5 statues including 1 PvP statue

The fast road for a PvP statue if you don't have one yet is to open 200 Zaishen Chests by grinding The Zaishen Combat "repeatable" Random Arena Quest which is available once or twice a week, during a 24 hour period, at the Great Temple of Balthazar. Use the Faction Reward to buy Zaishen Keys which give you access to other goodies.

Other easy statues include those listed in the non-title section of the wiki listed below:

Spoiler

* Eternal Hero of...

o Tyria (by completing Prophecies)

o Cantha (by completing Factions)

o Elona (by completing Nightfall)

* Eternal Conqueror of...

o The Domain of Anguish (by completing Mallyx the Unyielding)

o Sorrow's Furnace (by completing The Final Assault)

o The Deep

o The Fissure of Woe (by completing all 11 quests in the area in a single visit)

o The Underworld (by completing all 11 quests in the area in a single visit)

o Urgoz's Warren

Other Notes:

The Deep is short, but you may need an experienced team to run you through it

Sorrow's Furnace is time consuming, but is recommended as it is easier than most and can give you access to a Unique Mini Pet (which is good for another HoM point)

Fellowship:

Shoot for all 8 or as many as you have access to based on what campaigns you own

Done in 3 steps:

1. Get all the heros (use the wiki link above and click on the hero for recuitment info)

2. Farm or Buy each Hero their Elite Armor (I went 5 Stolen Sunspear, 10 Primeval, and 10 Cloth)

3. Get all 3 Rare Pets + any other level 20 pet

Other Notes:

Phoenix is gotten for free during the epilogue area after beating the Factions Campaign. . . the other two rare pets are quest related

The Zaishen Mengerie can be used to gain pets and instantly level them to 20 using Faction

The Menagerie is also needed to release an old pet so you can tame a new one or to reacquire an old pet with different mods

M.O.X. can be displayed immediately after you recruit him

Resilience:

Easiest, but expensive. . . I only got 2 points here

Luxon or Kurick Elite Armor was my ticket

Doing Jade Quarry will net you a little under 1 component a game or you can just buy a bunch cheap from veteran players to save time

Other Notes:

Ancient Armor is the cheapest

If you have a Warrior The Silver Eagle Armor is also very cheap

If you want to farm quests for gems Vabian Armor is also good

Valor:

Shoot for at least 3 HoM points by displaying 1 Oppressor and 1 Destroyer weapon

People are just selling these in Kamadon and other high population areas and usually for not much more than what it would be to farm the components yourself

That said if you want the bear minimum like I did then complete the War in Kryta quest line doing the "Wanted" Missions on hard mode to score some extra components and the rest on normal (by the end I had enough Medals of Honor to buy 2 Oppressor weapons; making the 2nd one easily tradable for one Destoryer)

Other Notes:

If you are running shy on other categories this is where to pour your resources in the end. . .

Be knowledgeable of the components used to get these weapons so you don't miss a great deal

You can use that same Faction Farming Trick in the Honor section to get Z-keys to be sold to other players for a lot of money. . . money that can be used to buy more weapons or mini pets if you're close

Devotion:

Shoot for as many as you can get without paying for them

If you do Buy them from other Players make sure they are Undedicated or they will be useless for your HoM

There is a long quest line that will get you a Unique Pet (Green Text) and there are yearly events that you can get a Rare (Gold Text) mini pet from if you do not have one of those either

Other Notes:

I recommend doing Devotion last because if you need to sell a nice mini pet for big cash you will be able to while they are still undedicated.

Besides farming Z-keys selling a good mini pet for a huge pile of Ectos is probably the fastest way you can get money.

I know from experience that there are a lot of generous players in game

While doing hardcore PvE for a week I saw a number of people just giving away huge piles of money or rare items for free

If you need additional help completing any of these feel free to post here or pm me as I would like to return the favor. . .

Additional tips, other farming method, or links to other useful info are greatly welcome!

I know I personally used the wiki maps heavily to get from place to place during some of the longer quest chains

-|||Just wanted to say well done on this. Nice guide to getting as many cheap and easy points as possible in a short space of time.|||I'm working on RA at the moment (shooting for zaishen because of slow progress on glad). Here's an additional advice...

Get the zcombat of your choice on all characters that you have. Make extra PvP chars if you can. Then you can pretty much play zcombat whenever you want, you should have enough zcombat on your characters to last you until the next refresh. Same applies to other zstuff if you're into PvE.|||I've been using Massively's article for the most part at this time.

Now that Dervs are flooding RA, I may try and get a bit of faction there. Right now I am just doing Zaishen Elite once a day however by my calculations it's going to day 5 monthes before I get my title that I need. le sigh.

Anyhow, my IGN is Zasalamel Noob

This is where I am at on the HOM
